English Language preparation for studying in Malta:
As Pakistani / international student you are required to provide English language proficiency certificate. IELTS (International English Language testing system), and TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) are accepted in Malta from foreign students. Mind it that study in Malta without IELTS or some other English language proficiency test in not allowed unless you belong to the country where English is official language of that country like United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, United Kingdom etc.
STUDENTS VISA FOR PAKISTANI STUDENTS
Pakistani students are required visa to enter in Malta. If you have admission confirmation letter from Malta’s university then you can apply for visa from Malta high commission in Islamabad. If you are resident of Sindh Province or Baluchistan Province then you can apply with Malta embassy in Karachi. You can apply visa for Malta Island from Austrian, Spanish or Italian embassies, but visa issued by these embassies is valid only for 90 days. Visa issued from Malta’s own embassy or high commission is valid for one year. If your course is longer than one year then you need to apply for residence documents in Malta. While flying to Malta you should have return air ticket (two-way air ticket) and a bank statement with sufficient funds to pay your tuition fee and at least 17520 Euros to cover your living expense for one year.
ACCOMMODATION IN MALTA
After getting admission in university of Malta you have different options for accommodation. You can choose Malta University Residence (hostels) which is 4 km away from university in Lija town, transport from university residence to university campus is provided by university. Student who can’t find place in university residence can rent an apartment or room or also can live as paying guest with some local families.
JOB IN MALTA FOR FOREIGNERS:
There are bright chances of getting part time jobs in Malta for international students. Per hour wages for part time students are not fixed but it is good for light jobs for students.
